Invision's role in design was akin to Evernote's in note taking – a pioneer that influenced my workflow. Regrettably, it shares Evernote's fate, announcing its shutdown as Freehand merges with Miro. Perhaps a Museum of Old Tools is in order!

🐰 Rabbit Enters the Race

Rabbit, an AI-first handheld device, has stirred excitement online. Not quite a mobile phone, this pocket companion features an intriguing retro design by Teenage Engineering. It appears 2024 will see an influx of AI hardware.

📆 A Fresh Calendar from Hey!

37Signals, creators of Hey.com, has unveiled a new calendar app with a unique perspective. Sporting a horizontal layout, it emphasises week-planning and includes a built-in time tracker and notes section. The feature I found interesting is "someday this week," it turns the calendar into a simple yet effective to-do list.

Amidst OpenAI's CEO-drama, Sam Altman penned an insightful blog post titled "What I Wish Someone Had Told Me." A different kind of list filled with valuable lessons.

🏆 Honoring Miyazaki

Hayao Miyazaki received a Golden Globe for The Boy and the Heron. I wonder if he'll truly retire this time, I hope not! Interestingly, the film was promoted solely with a single watercolour poster in Japan.

• 1956 Central Travancore, a film garnered praise at film festivals is now available on Bhavana Studios' YouTube channel.

• 12th Fail is a must-watch film. But what’s more amazing is Vidhu Vinod Chopra's heartfelt interview with Baradhwaj Rangan.
