#33: Dieter Rams; Manjummel Boys; Leap Days
Manjummel Boys
Manjummel Boys is a skilfully crafted, brilliantly written film with great casting, striking visuals, and engaging storytelling. Its success outside Kerala proves that a movie can transcend language barriers. Kudos to the creators, actors, and technicians (notably DOP Shyju Khalid & Production Designer Ajayan Chalissery) for delivering such splendid cinema. I recently viewed it in my hometown of Palakkad and spent the past week delving into content about the real and reel Manjummel Boys, making stories, about Guna, making of Guna, Kamalhassan and more! – quite the rabbit hole!
PenPot 2.0
Penpot, the open source Figma alternative, is launching a significant 2.0 release with an impressive demo video. Focusing on providing logical and semantically valid pixel-perfect code as a result, Penpot offers a compelling reason to consider switching as Figma now charges extra for developer seats.
The Leap Date
My chunk-buddy Abroo created an exceptional short film called The Leap Date – well-made, subtle, politically woven, and charming! Give it a watch.

For a serene ink-like colour scheme for your next project, consider Flexoki by Steph Ango. The logic is outstanding and compatible with most coding apps and other tools.
I've fallen for a new font: Manrope by Michael Sharanda (who designed OnePlus), a sleek modern Sans-Serif with character.
